Resumen: This book addresses very well the current serious challenge facing agricultural research where crop improvement is required to address two hard tasks: (1) a greater rate of increase in yield potenti al as compared with present rates, and (2) the support of this increase by developing abioti c and bioti c stress resistance. Furthermore, these challenges are to be met on the background of another “Green Revoluti on”, namely fewer inputs and reduced chemical use.
